Product Description:
Two chunks of James Brown related funk here: firstly a rare vesrsion of the J.B's classic 'Giving Up Food For Funk' from Dutch outfit 'The House Band'. Anyone who's remotely into the James Brown/J.B sound will be familiar with the original here, from the classic 'Food For Thought' LP, but not many will have heard this rare version, with fat drums and the same ultra-funky, much sampled guitar lick. Second-up is a ridiculously rare version of Lyn Collins' J.B produced 'Think' (itself also a cover of vesrion, of course!) Everyone knows this track, mostly via the famous 'whoa-yeah' break, but only a few have heard this take, appearing as it did on a Swiss album pressed to promote Zurich Airport!!! What exactly the connection between the Skorpyons of Jamaica and Switzerland was, is anyone's guess, but the track still rocks and is here for all to now enjoy!!!
